- The settings in Table I-B1 and 2 (Fullsize width and height) now also limit the maximum display size when Table I-A1 is set to ‘auto’, i.e. in responsive (mobile) themes.
All slide formatting is now done by one js routine: wppaFormatSlide() that was originally designed for responsive themes.
This fixes the bugs that were a spinoff of the modifications for responsive themes.
It also implies that the behaviour in responsive themes is improved: the setting of fullsize width and height are meaningful and alignment works like it used to do in static themes.
THIS MAY IMPLY that some settings must be changed for existing responsive applications of wppa+.

- You can now strip html anchor tags in descriptions under thumbnail popups in Table II-C5.1.

- You can set the vertical wppa+ box spacing in Table I-A7.
Example :This makes it possible to remove unreacheable links like ‘Camera info’
If you put a modified wppa-theme.php in your theme directory, you will get a one-time reminder
Other Changes
- There are built-in checks for a few theme and initialisation requirements. In case of non-compliance an errormessage will be displayed if one of three possible debug switches are in effect: WPPA_DEBUG set true in wppa.php, WP_DEBUG is set true in wp-config.php or (?|&)debug is appended to the url.

There are still a few other cases where it could be unproduced but the current change will have significant effect.
4.5.6
Bug Fixes
- Number of lines set to auto in Table I-G1 now also works.
4.5.5

- Scrolling by ‘page’ in filmstrip added (double angle brackets, the single angle brackets act as next and previous now).

- Number of lines in description (Table I-G1)
- Label text to the Close cross (Table II-F1)
- Background opacity (Table IV-G1)
- Action on click on background (Table IV-G2)
This value can be set from 0 to 24 or auto.
If set to auto, the full description will be shown, taking up the space required. If there is a ‘more’ and ‘less’ link ( like a Camera Info link ), you can dynamicly change the layout by adding wppaOvlResize() to the onclick clause in the link. See the new – updated – default New Photo description. - You can select —all— albums in the slideshow widget.
- Added album id keyword #all. You can use %%album=#all%% and %%slide=#all%% etc. %%cover=#all%% is meaningless and will return nothing.

- You can uncheck the User upload login switch (Table VII-B0) to enable anonymus uploads. Be carefull, read the Help (?) first!
Other lightbox plugins – and a previous embedded lightbox-2 variant – suffer from being released under the wrong licences. This causes the plugins to be withdrawn by the WP people. Everything should be Open Source licensed. Therefor i studied various lightbox versions, and wrote my own implemetation, from scratch, inspired by existing free software, but totally open source licence compliant. A further advantage of this implementation is the fact that the slideshow, when linked to lightbox, now shows the entire range of pictures in the show, a wish that many of you had. There are not yet many configuration settings, but it works smoothly. It has a keyboard input handler and a window resize handler. Just set Table IX-A6 to wppa and it works. You need no longer a separate lightbox plugin.
Other Changes
- Changed the default lightbox keyword to wppa
4.5.3
Bug Fixes
- Changing fontsize for Numbar active elements will do it now.

- Improved check on filetype when uploading watermark file.
- When Ajax is enabled and the browser supports history.pushState the stack is maintained also when the slideshow is the only non-widget running show.
- Same for update of addthis linkurl and title. (despite bugs in addthis code).

Bug Fixes
- When the delete checkbox was unchecked for import photos, the files were deleted anyway. This also generated a warning message during import on the attempt to remove a tempfile that was already removed.
New Features
- You can link filmstrip images to lightbox containing the full range of photos in the slideshow, as opposed to the standard direct goto feature. Table VI-10.
- Of all combinations of user roles and wppa+ menuitems the capability can be set to grant or deny. This fully implements the WP role/capability feature. If you changed the standard access configuration it may be required to visit Table VII-A and check/modify the configuration. Administrators will have all accessrights always.
- There is a switch that enables the check on correctly closing the html tags when entering album and photo descriptions. (Table IX-A2).
Other Changes
- Restructured and renumbered Settings tables. Please visit the settings page to get used to the improved lay-out.
- Removed obsolete settings and actions.
- Changed the example new photo description.
- When the requested display size of any photo is not larger than the thumbnail image file, the thumnbnail image file will be used. If you have set Table I-C2 to anything different from the default — same as fullsize — you may wish to switch this off on Table I-C9. This will dramatically improve the page load performance.
- If the display of comments, iptc and/or exif data is switched off, the code for these boxes is no longer generated. This will dramatically improve the server response time in case one or more of these features are switched off.
4.4.8
Bug Fixes
- The thumbnail popup showed the name twice. Fixed.
- When using ajax (Table IV-33) and lightbox on thumbnails (Table VI-2a), the thumbnail display required refreshment for lightbox to work properly. Fixed.
New Features
- You can now do a multiple selection on photos to upload. Both on the Upload admin screen as on the frontend upload.
This feature requires a modern browser that supports HTML-5 and will not work on I.E. including I.E.9. - You can now set the rating display to Numeric as opposed to Graphic in Table II-13a. Especially usefull when the rating is set to Extended (10) in Table I-28.
- A new widget has been added: Thumbnail widget. It displays a settable number of thumbnails from one album or from the system. See Table I-30,31; VI-9abcd.
Other Changes
- Temp files will be removed after upload.
4.4.7
Bug Fixes
- Supplied Tools VIII-13a and 13b to correct ratings.
The initial release of version 4.4.6 erroneously initialized a new setting (Table I-28: Rating size) to 10. Selecting the standard 5 would halve all the existing settings. The tool in Table VIII-13a enables you to correct this by doubling all existig settings. For those who executed this action accidently more than once, i also included the reverse operation (VIII-13b).
4.4.6
New Features

- On some systems copy photo produced an error. Fixed.
- Local avatars are finally displayed properly.
New Features
- There is a simple calculate captcha for comments on photos. Table VII-8. A wrong answer makes the comment spam. It will be editable to corrrect the captcha. It is not a very secure method, but better than nothing.
- Comments that are marked as spam can now automaticly be deleted after a configurable lifetime. Table VII-9.
- The photo specific links can now be set – on an individual basis – to be opened in a new tab.
Other Changes
- The support of the non-autosave versions of the settings page and the album admin page has been discontinued.
4.4.4
Bug Fixes
- It is no longer possible to set Tanble I-2 and 3 to ‘auto’. Only Item I-1 may be set to ‘auto’.
- The captions of the IPTC and EXIF boxes now obey the settings in Table V-6.
- The Big Browse Buttons have explicitly background-color: transparent now, to cope with themes that have a white background behind all images.
New Features
- You can specify New Tab in Table VI for all links independantly when appropriate. Note: When using Lightbox-3 the plain file will open in a new tab as a lightbox image, a specified lightbox link will open in the same tab (with possible browsing) regardless of the New Tab setting.

Featured photos will be easily found by search engines by means of meta tags in the page header.

- In the sentences ‘You must login to enter a comment’ and ‘You must login to vote’ the words ‘login’ are now a link to the wp login screen.
- You can now select a page in the comment admin page to display the photo with all its comments. Just click the thumbnail image.
4.4.2

- PHP Warnings during Ajax operations from the Settings autosave and album admin autosave admin pages will now produce an alertbox and report success or fail correctly.
New Features
- When WP Supercache is installed and activated, the cache will be cleared when needed.
- Slideshow Pause on mouse hover (Table IV-35).
4.4.1
Other Changes
- When you use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lightbox-3/ as the external lightbox, everything works even better as before!
WPPA+ has been adapted in such a way that the lightbox software will keep track of the current content when browsing fullsize images and/or running slideshows. This is done for the lightbox-3 plugin and it is NOT expected to function for other lightbox plugins.
4.4.0
Bug fixes

- You can use photo names in scripting the same way as album names. Example: %%wppa%% %%photo=$OV-chip_saldo-’corrector’%% %%size=400%% is a valid script sequence. Like for albums: the name must be preceded by a dollar sign ($). If the photo does not exist an errormessage will be displayed. However, if the photo with the given name exists more than once, the first found will be used.
- You can now set photo names in urls rather than photo numbers during browse full size images while Ajax is on. See settings Table IV-34.
- The use of shortcodes that refer to other plugins in photo descriptions is now possible. If you want this feature, check Table IX-20.
- You can set the watermark opacity in Table IX-21.

Other changes
